Volkswagen Polo III - Air Conditioning recharge - csgmart

I have a Polo with a/c fitted but not working. I've not had the car that long so not sure of the history of the problem.

I aim to take it to a 'fast fit' place to get it recharged - anything I should check before I go?

There is nothing you can do yourself without the reqd test equipment.These suffer various faults,so it may be more involved than a recharge.hth

It should be fault code read using equipment that gives VAG specific codes and I doubt a fast fit centre will do a good job, find a VAG specialist.

I've re-read my original post and reliased I was unclear with describing the fault.

The interior fan works and the air gets a little bit colder, but only just. I suspect that the gas needs to be replaced / recharged but without taking it anywhere I am only guessing.

I'm not too bothered for now as it's winter but I like to keep things in working order if I can.
