Skoda Fabia - Engine warning light... - grommet

Hello! The engine warning light came on last week (1.4 diesel), but the car runs fine. I bought a cheap skoda specific fault code reader, plugged it in, it scanned & came up with 'No Fault Codes'. The engine light is still on. Should I be concerned? Any ideas gratefully received!
