My car has poor performance and economy of less than 25mpg even when driven carefully. The engine heats up very quickly. all these factors point to a collapsed catalyst/exhaust blockage. Does this seem plausible? If so, how can I check the cat? I have put my hand over the exhaust outlet while the throttle is blipped aand it seems like not a lot of exhaust gas is coming out.
