Ford fiesta 1.8tdi x reg - Intermittent indicators - micramanic
I have just bought myself a diesel fiesta and have just noticed that the indicators won't always come on when I use them. It's especially bad when going from one side to the next quite fast (e.g. On roundabouts)
I've also noticed it affects the hazards too, I went to use them and they wouldn't come on till I moved the indicator stalk.

I've already had the upper shroud off to try and spray some electrical cleaner down the stalk in case it was a dirty contact, no change.

Have you ever heard off this and is it an easy fix or new unit?

Try cleaning the contacts on the hazard warning switch.

Thanks for your response Peter. Does the whole unit come apart/inspection hatches etc because all I could do was spray down any gaps in the unit such as the base of the hazard switch and indicator stalk.

I'm not familier with your car, just a general observation, WD40 will usually creep anywhere if you can get it inside the unit somehow - followed by a good workout.
