can anyone advise why my car which drives perfectly well in dry weather speeds up ,chugs and nearly stops when you drive through rain and puddles.I am desperate to get it fixed. please help
Sounds like the waterproof cover (fabric type?) for the fuel injection system coolant temperature sensor is missing. If you splash water on it accidentally, which gets to the terminals, you will experience some of the poor running symptoms described until it dries out with the heat of the engine.
Or...I had a scenic which did the same thing, turned out it was just some rubber lining at the front at the bonnet that was missing and water was getting around one of the spark plugs and causing problems.
