VW Swappage - a distant dream or a likely reality? - dmcg

Loads of manufacturers are now starting swappage schemes - Skoda, Vauxhall, Volvo.

Is there any likelihood, do we reckon, of Volkswagen starting it too? I don't want to make a purchase now only to find in a few weeks that I could've got it cheaper!

it's words only, another manufacturer sales gimmick. Why can't people see this and haggle for the best discount available to them. Same with the Government scrappage scheme. The only real discount was the £1k put up by the government the other £1000 put up by the manufacturer should have been easy to negotiate as discount at the very least.

If the Skoda deal looks good, go for one of these rather than a VW. Same mechanicals and no loss of build quality.
