Peugeot 306 (1993 - 2001) - 99 1.4 immobilliser problem????

99 1.4 immobilliser problem???? - whacker82
over the cold snap my anti freeze froze, when it tawed out the car would not start, the engine turns and sounds like it wants to start but something is stopping this form happening. i took it to a mechanic and he tried everyting and has said that its an emmobiliser problem. the keys i have for the 306 is a copy. one would start the engine and the other key would unlock the doors manually. there is a sensor in the car located between the driver seat and passenger seat above our heads. so i know that the keys i have are not the origonal ones. ive gone back to the dealer where i bought it to see if they could get in contact with the previous owner to see if he still might have to origonal key but too no avail. ive done 116 miles since i bought her and now its looking like a car for scrap. please if any one can help me id be greatly appreciative as im about to give up hope and give her away.
