1.9 turbo diesel starts o.k when the engine is cold but struggles to start when the engine is warm/hot
If the starter is turning it over OK when hot you probably have air getting into the fuel system somewhere. What exactly are the symptoms, does it not fire, or try to, is there any smoke from the exhaust when you try to start it?
it does not seem to be trying to fire,no sign of smoke
Obviously no fuel going in then, try pumping the primer on the fuel line before you start, if that fixes it you have an air leak, although I can't understand why it would start from cold if that was so.
What do you have to do to get it to start eventually?

My 2.1 used to refuse to start when hot sometimes, I had to light the glowplugs once or twice, then it was happy.
it eventually does start but it takes a lot out of the battery

Could be a faulty fuel solonoid, sticking, but if the car has a key pad, not very easy to access as its has anti theft armouring over it, you could try giving the pump a thump with the ignition on, that might free it - until the next time.
