Power Lock differential - Paul531
My RWD Volvo 900 series estate, has a power lock differential;
if one wheel begins to lose tractions, the diff locks and so both wheels turn at the same speed.

It works very well, however as most other maunfacturers use limited slip systems, I can only assume that an LSD is better?

Can anyone point me to any website, or tech' data which compares the two systems.

Does anyone know what causes the system to engage ' disengage?
