03 1.4 Hesitation on acceleration - petrol model - howy868
It's OK when cold but develops a low/mid rev hesitation when warmed-up. Blipping the throttle causes a hesitation and momentary sucking sound from the intake area. There's also an ocasional smell of rotten eggs from the tailpipe, so the Catalitic converter is not happy I guess. Problem seems to be variable day to day. Can be driven through using higher revs - acceleration seems OK at high revs. It had a new coil-pack and plugs 5000 miles ago and the air filter is fairly fresh.
Any clues much appreciated.
