Mazda Mazda 5 7-str (2005 - 2010) - 08 1.9 A/C Airflow Mode

08 1.9 A/C Airflow Mode - rmd
When starting from cold 1st. thing in the morning. the airflow direction seems to have developed a mind of its own. The air direction changes through several modes without me touching the control switch.Naturally it wouldn't 'perform' for the Mazda dealer and although they think they know what it might be they won't replace anything until witnessed.In the meantime can anyone throw any light on the problem?

it sounds to me the a/c is set in auto mode if you alter the speed contol it will reset to manual (if the speed control button is pressed the auto mode is set and air will be directed by the in built ecu to the temp set on the guage) hope this helps

Thanks for the tip but it does it manual and auto mode.
