99 1.25 loss of power - gruff graham
i have a zetec 1.25 16v. recently it seems to have lost its power. it doesnt misfire, judder or have starting problems. No water or oil loss .

However, it seems to have lost any power even if drop down a gear to overtake. the revs dont climb away when flooring the accelerator, so i dont think it is the clutch.

Any help appreciated.
Bought the car 5 months ago and is probably due a service.

Hi Graham,

as difficult as it is trying to diagnose something you cannot see and hear, there is a good chance from the description you give and the age of the vehicle that it has a blocked exhaust, either a melted cat or a collapsed baffle is top of the list for my money.
