03 1.2 Front brake wear sensor - dave.w
The brake wear sensor light came on, I changed the front pads, the sensor light stayed on. I disconnected the sensor cable, the light stayed. on it's on all the time. There are no sensors on the rear shoes.Help please.

Sounds like the cable is broke somewhere, the systems usually work by breaking the circuit when the pads are worn. Don't know about the Polo, but on my lovely green Vectra the wear sensor is separate to the pads, and needs changing when the pads are changed, assuming it has actually worn through. So either you need to change the wear sensor(s) or you have a break in the cable.
