Am I being really thick, or does the survey - when asking us to rate items between 1 and 5 - not tell us whether 1 is bad or good?
Also needs an n/a section too.

Seems to think nobody outside the UK looks at this site, either. How silly is that?

Mine shows up with
7 How would you rate the service you received? 1 for high quality, 5 for low quality.

Mine appears to omit 6,7 & 8 ... and I assumed that 1=bad, 5=good (!).

mine did too and I should have read this thread first as i am annoyed that I gave my local Mitsubishi dealer top marks when they should have received bottom marks.

Me too.

I just left those bits blank. Haven't bought or sold a car in the last 6 months so just ignored those sections.
The survey flow is a bit poor and should depend on previous answers more.

I've filled it in for what it's worth. Any car dealership / motoring service provider would be better off reading the BR for a nationwide picture of such things.
|
How clever! You are only told whether 1 is high or low if you bought a new car in the last 6 months.
Those of us who have not bought a brand new car in that time period are deemed clever enough to know the answer.
Furthermore, the survey does not define "new". So if it is a "new-to-me-but-second-hand" car, you need to tick "no".
What a badly written survey. And as most of the population have 1-5 as high & low confused, the results are completely meaningless!
|
the results are completely meaningless!
Yup, its a survey, say no more.
Easy enough to massage and manipulate any survey and as its an internet based one any mischeif making Johnny can put what they like and go unquestioned.
Just like press releases, read between the lines..........................
|
I pointed out the 1 to 5 ratings don't have a key to indicate which is highest/lowest to the relevent people earlier. Hopefully it will be amended at some point.

As its a UK survey I can understand only having UK regions, but at least cover them all. Add Yorkshire and Humber and I'll complete it.
|
Add Yorkshire and Humber ...........
And Lincolnshire/East Midlands.

The 'new car buying' questions appear to be skipped if you answer no to 'have you bought a new car in the last 6 months'.
But if you answer no to 'have you bought a used car in the last 6 months', the 'used car buying' questions aren't skipped - should they be left out, or filled in?

Dave Moderator pointed out the 1-5 good-bad anomaly and that was corrected. More than 200 Backroomers responded in the first couple of hours.
I took FocusDriver's opinion as gospel and filled it in on the basis of 1-5 was bad-good.

I wonder why I wasn't asked what sort of car I have. I think the results would have been more interesting with that information rather than, for example, my age bracket.
