05 2.0 RPM in top gear - superdog
Hi!
I am considering buying an 05 reg. tdci 115 model and would like to know what the rpm is at 70mph in top gear, and likely mpg overall. Any suggestions as to what to look out for when buying would be appreciated.

Hi

I drive a 03 115 TDCi and get between 50 and 54 mpg at 70mph. (Light right foot).

However I think that the newer models use a Euro IV engine which gives better emissions but poorer consumption.

I have a thread running about Idle speed, there is a guy on their that has a Euro IV mondeo and has said that consuption is worse on these cars.

Consumption a little worse on Euro IV engines (is his 115PS engine a EuroIV?). They also take longer to warm up which means you are not at optimum engine temperature for longer and therefore average fewer MPGs. Best I got was around 50mpg but mine was a 130PS.
