99 1.4 gearbox feeling sticky - taz88

Hi, I've just bought a mark 4 '99 golf 1.4s..the gearbox seems sticky when i drive it around. The cars fine overall, there isn't any other problems with it-(i'll keep everything posted if there is)..

..well i've been driving it around today and everything else seems fine its just the gearbox that seems really slow when pushing into gear...i've driven another golf and that gearbox is like a breeze pushing into gears etc but my one seems a bit robot like..anyone have an idea..

Remove the gater and lube the joints and slide. Lube the linkages at thre rear of the engine/gear box and the rotate and slide bush. Regards Peter

Check the engine mounts, if one wears/fails it can cause gear change alignment problems.
