02 1.9 Diesel - delay in starting - jules1
Hi
I recently bought an 02 scenic 1.9 diesel, and it runs really well, except when I first start it up, it ticks over a few times before the engine actually kicks in. It always, always starts, but i am worried it is a prelimanary sign of something. Can anyone help. In simplest terms pleae- i am a girl, and dont do cars!!!

Did you buy it trade or private?

Those normally start first touch; get the "rail pressure when cranking" and a "leak-off test" checked by a garage with the right equipment.

Okay- could it be anything major? Bought it private- it only has 53000 on it.
