does anyone know what other renault engine will fit a espace 2.0lt 16v w reg 2000 i'm finding it hard finding a espace engine so need to find out what other engine will fit ive looked at a laguna engine same year and size but its different

Renault use lots of different engines, coded into families - but watch out for detail changes, engine swaps are now a minefield with electronics involved.
Your JEO L/N Espace - should - have an F4R-700 or F4R-701 unit; check the engine code on the front of the block, gearbox end, to make absolutely certain what you are looking for.
Lagunas ['99-on,] Scenics and the Trafic II did use a similar base engine - but with a lot of variations.

hi thanks for your reply ive checked the engine number and it looks like f4r-700 so have i got to check that the numbers the same on another renault engine?
