Can anyone offer advise on the following recurring problem - this has happened regularly since the vehicle was purchased from new in 2002 (Peugeot Boxer-based motorhome - Autosleeper Symbol.
The engine is a cc1997 diesel 1.9HDi.
The problem is that the "engine auto-diagnosis" light comes on whilst driving. This red light on the dashboard is part of the "injection, ignition, emission" systems and when lit causes the vehicle to slow down to a maximum of 20mph. The engine is then intermittent between normal power and mininum engine power for the period of the journey.
There are times when it will run perfectly for months on end, then it all happens again. The vehicle has been back to a Peugeot dealer more times than I can remember - they put it on the diagnostic set-up, re-set something and tell us it's fine......till next time!!
Any suggestions, anyone with a similar problem, ANYONE with a solution??

A solution for what problem? What do they find that is causing limp-home?
