radio out of order - barney100
The Blaupunkt radio in the car has gone off yet again. It goes blank for days on end and then of a sudden works again for a couple of weeks and then goes again. Before I part with hard earned at Halfords is there something I can do to get it back on?

The only thing I suggest you may want to do is check the Iso connector blocks and plug- in fuse at rear of radio.However removal of the radio on these is not a 5 min job.It does not slide out from the front.Carefull removal of the gearshift trim, centre console panel and central air vent assy is reqd for access.hth

sounds like a component is getting hot on the circuit board and going open circuit,i would remove it before it causes a possible fire

It will blow the internal fuse before it causes a fire ,prone to the iso connection coming loose.
