Bandit 650 oil - telecaster
According to this www.banditmania.co.uk/servicing.htm I should be only using mineral oil in my 2006 Suzuki GSF 650 Bandit ?

Am I wasting money using the more expensive Castrol GPS motorcycle specific oil........help im confused!

You will get many different replies.
Myself I have been using Halfords fully synth stuff when it is on offer/bogof etc and so far have 75k miles on my R1 with no trouble as yet.

The really important thing as far as bike engines go is to always use a motorcycle specific oil, and change it every 3,000 miles.

Don't use a fully synthetic unless recommended for the bike, but a semi (such as GPS) is fine.

Interestingly, my ZZR has a cold start camchain rattle on GPS which doesn't occur on any other oil I've used.

Rock Oil Guardian is good stuff and very reasonably priced (<£15 for 4 litres).

The correct grade of "car" mineral oil will be fine. If you want to go for semi or synthetic make sure its a bike specific oil.

Putoline DXP 10/40 seems to do very well in the air-cooled models - certainly my 600 seems happy with it.
