No penalty for Hamilton. Good news for the sport in my opinion.

I agree. A sensible outcome.

I am a bit disappointed with Weber's comments.
First he blamed a less experienced driver Vettel with a few choice comments and then started blaming LH. Of course with all his experience he could not be blamed in any way :-(

The drivers should consider this as a warning shot from the FIA. Perhaps now they will take it a bit more easy behind the Safety Car. Otherwise the SC will only be going around more slowly.

The bit I do not get is how Vettel being distracted was Hamilton's fault.

Thought this from Hamilton interesting:

"If you look, I did it every lap, that's the line I raced on because it was the dry line and that's probably why I won," he added. "There was less water there but I always caught the pace car up.

So if he really did it every lap why didn't Webber just follow him again? And Hamilton apparently was on the radio to get Red Bull to tell Webber to back off. Maybe the Mclaren was better for grip at lower speeds to Webber had to go a bit faster?

Vettel's 10-place penalty was also reduced to a reprimand. Good.

I don't blame Mark Webber for firing buckshot in all directions. He has had a lot of frustrating experiences this season, and hasn't had good luck.

People make their own luck, or blame luck to cover their inadequacies. In my view, Webber is nothing but a 2nd rate driver and is a loudmouth whingeing Aussie. They try the same tactics when playing cricket.

jbif, you may be right but I have never noticed Webber complaining or being rude before. I think the Fuji crash was just one too many.

Most out of character for Webber. He was my instructor on a track day at Brands about 10 years ago, and I thought he was one of the all round nicest blokes I've ever met. He still comes across exactly the same in interviews as well. I've never seen him get involved in the mud-slinging and politics that is F1.

Glad LH is off the hook though. Now all he needs to do is finish off his title quest, and watch the whinging Spaniard slink off back to Renault to get his precious number one status...diddums! :-)

number 2. The way things are going he'll be carrying number 2 next year. Though if he leaves MacLaren it won't even be that. Unless he wins the championship.
