Driveshaft/dealer prices

Driveshaft/dealer prices - dave18
Driveshaft was very bad after long trip... yes I know, shouldn't have done it.
Peugeot main dealer £190 total (urgent as I use the car for part time job.)
If the other side fails will a recon part be worth fitting at a local garage? Or even a new one? Prices?

Dave,

I forget your car model but the Peugeot shafts are between £50-£70+vat/post from Andyspares. This is for an OE GKN exchange unit. Fitting about £40??

I had an exchange shaft fitted at my local garage for £110.
Your other one should not go if the gaiter is ok.
