Citreon Xantia 97 TD Sx no lights - stevie1970
Hi,
Xantia 97 all of a sudden all lights failed, no headlights, high beam, sides, dash lights.
Indictators and brakes lights & hazard work ok. Everything else on the car works fine.
We have checked all the fuses and can not find any blown, seems like a main power fuse gone but can't find any blown.
The haynes manual is useless does anybody on here have any ideas, good job the nights are getting lighter!!!.

Thanks Steve.

Sorry, can't help you specifically with this car, but as a general comment I have traced several such failures to a cable problem, i.e. burnt out connection onto a fuse box or mutiplugs. Some vehicles have main in-line fusible links between alternator/battery and fuse block.

These obviously are a swine to find, all you can do is to wriggle the loom at likely places, or look for discoloured insulation.

Failing this, I'm afraid it's a long session with a wiring diagram ond meter
