Toad immobiliser fitted to Porsche 924 - CQ
I have a 1981 Porsche 924 off road at present with a Toad immobiliser fitted. One key fob pendant stopped working some time ago. Having done some work on it with the battery off I couldn't start it, no fuel pump running. Having checked fuses and connections around the relays fuel pump kicked in, engine fired up. On trying to restart red l.e.d. on toad keeps flashing, no fuel pump and no cranking. Are these things easy to reset,I obviously can't drive to the Lucas centre that fitted it, or alternatively are they easy to remove?

unless you have a grasp of wiring i really do recomend you get an auto electrician to de wire your immobilisor
remember it was fitted to deter a quick fix
auto man should be there one and a half hours tops if that helps

I was getting a bit frustrated on Sunday when I looked at this, but the immobiliser appears to have seven black wires, one earth an I'm guessing three circuit pairs. Some of these go to relays so I feel it may just be a matter of matching three feeds to three relays.

quiet correct they are three matched pairs they cut the wire 9say to fuel pump0 run up one wire to the unit out through the other paired wire and connects back to the wire that was cut making the circuit complete again its not to bad to re instate the wireing as was if you are fairly confident at what you are trying to do but it would be less stressfull (although more painfull on the wallet) to call an alarm specialist to repair/replace said unit and if you remove it will it affect you insurance !!!!!

Thanks for your advice. The fault turned out to be the fuel pump solenoid, now sorted.
