New Grand Vitara - any engine issues? - stevieb
Morning folks

I am just about to commit to a new Suzuki Vitara 1.9 DDIS but have one last niggling doubt, after I found out that Renault manufacture the DDIS engine that Suzuki have opted for.

The latest X-trail DCI engines (Renault) seem to have real issues to the extent HJ has now withdrawn his recommendation, and it's fair to say that their own cars seem to suffer higher than average reliability issues.

Am I worrying unduly? I would really appreciate your thoughs before I commit or otherwise?

I think the x trail engines were the Nissan (cam chain) unit that have been having problems.
