Changing Ford Focus sidelights....... - Viz
Can somebody tell me if its easy to cahange the Focus mk1 sidelights please.
Its only the passenger side bulb which has stopped working, but should I replace them as a pair ?

If they are just standard bulbs just replace the passenger bulb.
They are fairly easy to change but just a little restrictive for room as the battery is in the way. Pull down the plastic cover, pull off the connector and to release the bulb there is a metal clip with a round top which you pull up and towards you.
May help if you use a small mirror so you can see the clip.

Hope this helps.

Nice one.

I haven't had a look under bonnet yet, sounds fairly simple.
Will give it a go later.

Sorry Viz must engage brain before posting.
The above instructions were for fitting the headlight bulb.
The sidelight bulb is a lot easier to change. Pull down the cover, Take off connector. Turn the bulb holder clockwise and bobs your uncle.
Wilkinsons do 2 bulbs for about £2 or £3.

I can't seem to get the bulb out to replace it.
Have pulled the cover off and the black bulb holder can spin freely clockwise but not anti-clockwise. It looks like I need to squeeze either side of the black plastic to then pull out the bulb. Does this sound correct ? Except I cant.
Would I need a bit of leverage ? ie; with a screwdriver ?

Its ok, all done now. Getting the connector out was the hard part.
I just didn't know how hard to pull.

Thanks again.
