just wondering if the later mg zr fitted with the smaller diesel engine, the 105bhp one is fitted with rear disc's or drums?

Can you not see through the wheel, manual could be more helpfull- but isnt.Sorry

Correct me if I am wrong but are not all MG ZR either a 1.4 petrol or a 1.8 petrol? I didn't think they did a diesel. And if it is like days of old in the MG Rover factory, then it may be fiited with rear discs or rear drums depending on what parts they had hanging around on the factory floor at the time!

They do or did a 2.0 litre Diesel as well,so my manual says

You are quite correct, a quick search on AutoTrader has turned a few diesel ones up. They say you learn something new everyday!!!
