Auction buyers - Stuart
Sorry should have pushed the new topic button.

Does anyone know anyone who buys cars for other people on commission at auction? Alternatively does anyone have experience of using one and if so what sort of money do they charge?

Any help greatly appreciated.
Re: Auction buyers - boost
Free to buyers - it's not like Sothebys !
You will have to pay an indemnity fee though if you buy, which is an insurance policy to cover if the car has been nicked or is a write off.
Varies on the value of the car but £35 is about average.
Re: Auction buyers - Flat in Fifth
Stuart,

HJ has covered this in his How to buy & sell cars and there is a section on using an auction buyer,

Also search on Julian Trim (6% commission) who HJ mentions and you will find some positive reports.

I know that Douglas Coker is straight. I see him quite regularly at the auctions.

And I've used Julian Trim (as has a friend of mine) and we're both full of praise. And, no, I'm not connected to him in any way at all.
