Sun roof security - anthony farrar
What does the panel think about full length vinyl sun roofs - are they a security risk? Should I walk away from a car with one?

On a Mini, no. On most Classics, no.

The locks are usually so poor any key will open them so it's no more of a risk than normal. Fit a decent alarm which can sense the air movement from the roof opening if you are worried. Just think of the tan you'll get in the summer. Lovely brown left shoulder, forearm and top of ear. Check it doesn't leak (sunroof, not ear).

Call me cynical.
Why have a sunroof when you don't get any sun?
But be caeful of vandals - they just love testing their stanleys on the stuff.
Insurance can be a problem as well.
