Can anyone tell me where the fan thermostat switch is, or point me to a website showing the location. Car intermittently overheats in city traffic but oil level is not rising, and no smell of exhaust in cooling system. Colling fan cuts in occasionally.

Likely to be hiding underneath the fan cowling at the bottom centre of the radiator.
