Focus Door Lock Failure. - mcpezza
Does anyone know how to open the drivers door of 1998 Focus when the opening mechanism has failed by the lock? Door card is not removeable with the door closed. I have partly removed the surround to the interior handle and can see that the cable is still attached to the back of the handle. The exterior handle does nothing. Central locking motor is still moving in door when operated. Do I need one of those blade like implements you see in films that car thieves push between the glass nad door?

Well sorted that myself. Coathanger between window and inner door a few times and the door opened and got the door card off. It was the cable from the inner handle broken.
