Hi - My 2001 Chrysler Voyager 2.5 CRD is nearly on 120,000 miles (yea i know, i travel a lot) The major service was £385 which did't include a cam belt change. I've been quote £407. I phoned a local motor factor £80.00 for the belt but no listing for a new tensioner etc. I've read an online piece about changing the belt - looks like it could be difficult. I've change cam belts on ford pinto's & vauxhall's V6 before which went ok. Anyone done a voyager CRD 16 valve before.

I must say, I thought that these were gear-driven.

and so did I, in fact I was convinced it was gear driven. However Chrysler dealer says its belt & it needs changing - ever done one Aprilia?

No, but I'm sure I once looked at one of these engines and it was gear driven. Perhaps your engine is a newer/different design?
