Hello all,
The rear left electric window refused to close recently and I suspected a broken cable. After removing the window regulator, the cable was fine as was the motor but the glass carrier that slides on the frame had broken (bits of plastic inside door) where it grips the cable.
This carrier just clips onto the frame and cable but does't have a part no. It would be quite cheap to replace if available!
The local VW dealers say I have to replace the whole window regulator.
Has anyone else had any success in locating these glass carriers or can suggest a cost effective repair?

I would suggest the best place to look is in a scrappy. Those little plastic parts as they say are not available seperatly.

I'm pretty certain the clip will be the same on the manual version so no need to find a car with electric rears.
