'98 Pug 306 1.4 keeps juddering at idle - Dux
Hi hope somebody can help.

I have '98 1.4 306 which has been a great car until recently. There seems to be a problem with it which i cant sort. When i have been driving it it seems to judder when i pull up to the traffic lights, sometimes it eratic others not at all.

It also sometimes seems not to have the same amount of power that it use to i seem to have to give it more gas when accelerating as it feels sluggish and sometimes judders.

Did not know if it was the ECU unit or the coil. If its the ECU would a second hand one repair it and how do youe remove it.

Hope someone can help.

Does the car idle badly? If it does then it may be the stepper motor that is on its way out. You can clean the motor but the problem will return to haunt you. Its about £40-50.Its definately a DIY job.
