Accord 2.4 and 2.0 mpg

Accord 2.4 and 2.0 mpg - HectorG
At the moment I have a Honda CR-V as I live in the country down a farm track but I am moving to our local town in a couple of months. I would prefer to go back to a normal estate and am very interested in an Accord Tourer. It has to be petrol as I want an auto. Various threads recently have covered Accord mpg but mainly the diesel. Do any backroomer's have any first hand experience of the difference I could expect to find between the 2.4 and 2.0 engines? I would like a 2.4 if I could justify it to myself
