Satsfaction surveys - interpretation - PR {P}
On reading the reliability/satisfaction survey thread, I was wondering what you all thought about this question which I anwered on a recent survey.

The question asked "How would you rate your cars economy?"

Now I have an Alfa 156 GTA which is far from efficient, I get around 25-26mpg, so you would think a poor rating. However, the makers claim is 23.9. So how would you answer?

Depends what you want from your car. If you want a 4x4, and have money to burn, then a Hummer, or V8 Landrover might be seen as economical at 10mpg.

Personally I like & have use for a large estate car, so I am happy with its economy - which at 27 or 28mpg I don't think is too bad. I do avoid thrashing it - as that appears to be money down the drain...

On the other hand, Gregory in the Technical thread writes: 'And my sister's averages almost 90mpg compared to my 125cc's 85mpg.' - so he is unhappy about only getting 85mpg rather than 90mpg.
