Shell have now got Diesel Extra aat my local station(Midlands).
Put first 1/2 tank top up today. Just wondering if anyone who has had access to it a bit longer has noticed any difference with performance/Mpg??

I\'ve used it a few times - can\'t say I\'ve noticed it being any better than the supermarket stuff. Perhaps over a longer period it might keep the injectors etc. cleaner because of its additives.
My last car was petrol fuelled and I found that the supermarket stuff gave better mpg than the posh branded petrol. This was the case each time I did the calculations (and I did them frequently!).

Have used the BP version. Ultimate diesel? car had more power, much better low rev tractability and smoothness, but not a jot of diffrence in MPG tho so at nearly 6p a litre dearer it got the chop

I agree BP Ultmiate Diesel did give a noticeable performance improvement, but Shell Diesel Extra appears to be no different to anything else.
Except Morrissons supermarket diesel....it's like driving with the brakes on....
