anyone tried the new diesel (1.9tdi)I \'ve always rated saab - best seats in the business for big mileage but only had the petrol 95\'s. the current 2.2 diesel is rubbish, and I\'m changing from my merc E220 at the end of the year.

Which one? The 120bhp or the 150bhp engine?
Looking at the technical figures, they're the same engine as fitted to the Vectra (could be that both Vauxhall and Saab are owned by GM of course ;o) )
Having driven a 150bhp'd Vectra diesel, the only difference I found between it and my 2.2 petrol (155bhp) was the bags of torque the diesel engine offered.

looking at the saab website i think its the fiat engine. I fancy it because they offer an auto box with the 150bhp version. I don't want a beemer or merc and I've had saabs before and they've never let me down.
