Intermittent starting problem - Mazda - SPG33
My 2000(W) Mazda Premacy 1.8 petrol has a frustrating habit of not starting (mostly when you are in a hurry!). The immobilser light is off, engine turns over but does not catch. Waiting approx 10 mins seems to solve the problem and it will start as normal. There appears no pattern to when and why this happens and the fault occurs irrelevant of engine temperature, ambient temperature, distance driven etc, but it WILL start after being sat all night or after longer standing time. Sometimes it happens once a fortnight and sometimes twice a day.

Any advice and possible solutions greatly recieved. The car is booked into a Mazda dealer next week, but they don't really know what they're going to look for, especially if there is no code left in the CPU memory
