Well when I say knocking, its actually a cross between a knock a squeek and a rattle coming from ( I think ) the gearbox area when first pulling away and if traveling at low speed lifting off the gas and ten putting it back on.
Does anyone have any ideas on what it could be? the car is still under warrenty and is due for a service in about 2 months.

Is this perhaps just a small amount of free rotational movement somewhere in the drivetrain, in which case it's common (normal almost) and probably nothing to worry about. As it's still under warranty take it back to the dealer to be on the safe side.
