Megane 2001 Passenger Airbag Switch - mat8527
Does anyone know if the 2002 megane fidji (not the new shape), or any megane of that year has a passenger airbag deactivation switch? My friends have a baby and need to switch the airbag off. Renault dealer claims there is no airbag there which is wrong as even the bottom of the range has passenger airbags. PLEASE HELP . Thanks

my gf has one of these, and there is no switch. you need to take it to the renault dealer to have it disabled. i dont no why they were saying there isnt one there?! all 2002 Fidji had 4 airbags as standard

I had a dec. 2001 Megane Fidji. There is no switch to turn off the passenger airbag. Renault dealer also refused to disable the airbag.

Where there is no approved disabling feature fitted, or a manufacturer approved procedure, dealers WILL NOT disble passenger airbags - ever. This is due to possible future liability in the event of an accident.

Anyway kids of any age go in the back.
