Anyone seen the add for the sport Ka? the one where the cats head gets chopped off, very funny someone sent me the MPEG (fifi - the RF dog loves it)

Not a huge fan of that one - I like cats. There's a far better one involving a pigeon, anyway. As the bird goes to land on the car, the bonnet flips up and knocks the bird, umm, flying :)

Great bit of marketing, that - release it once and let the internet link-brigade spread it around for you. Then, when you pull it later after controversy, even more people want to get hold of it. Textbook, and much kudos :)
Seriously though, can you imagine a marketing company:
a) Releasing something against the wishes of the buyer, potentially killing their product as dead as the cat, and
b) Annoying one of the largest motor companies in the world and risking losing the contract.
Nah, all carefully planned out I'd say, and good luck to them. It made me giggle :)

Haven't seen the Ford ad, but how come so much fuss over a cat losing its head yet there is another ad (Fosters??)where a bungey jumper gets his head bitten off by a croc and there is no fuss?

I think this advert wasn't ever meant to be put on TV, its something thats been created to be emailed around offices,to start people talking about the Ford Sport Ka.
Seems to have worked.

yep i got a copy of that ad and I think its very funny too. of cos my friends with kitty kats think i'm sick but I say hey you got no sense of humor! yeah the site got hacked and all data was lost. Pity. I've seen an older ad where a pigeon gets wacked by the Ka. Been trying to find it. If you have it can you send it to me? Its a classic! Thanks!
