I was getting more and more annoyed at these sexist adverts for a certain sparkling motor insurance provider that only deals with women. I decided to put *exactly* the same details in to their quote engine and that of their parent company with the exception of sex of course! The result? I got a quote £26 cheaper as a man than a woman.... False advertising? Sexism? You decide....

My wife obtained three quotes from companies that offered special deals for women where she stated that she would be the only driver. Without exception they were considerably dearer than the likes of esure and morethan who included me to drive the car as well. I vaguely remember some newspaper articles recently exposing 'women only' insurance scams.
