Astra 1.4i 16v 2001 - CH
Can anyone advise how to re-set the service light on the above WITHOUT having to fork out 300-quid on a device? I'm convinced it must be possible, by perhaps shorting out the relevant pins on the diagnostic socket(?). But which ones???

Just a thought, by "service light" are you talking about the ECU fault light rather than the InSP message on the odometer? The ECU fault light isn't a service indicator light.

Sorry for the confusion. I mean the InSP light (which indicates I'm due for a service - which I intend doing myself - hence the need to re-set it).
