Could someone please tell me how to reset the service indicator that is displayed on the dash.Also, wher is the Pollen Filter situated? Cheers

Try this as the suggested way on page 8 of my 2001 Passat handbook didn't work. This is the method used on a 1999 Polo; it worked on my Passat.
With the ignition switched off press and hold in the trip meter (odometer) reset button.
Keep the trip meter button pressed in and switch the ignition on (you need two hands!)
Release the trip meter button after at least 10 seconds.

Pollen filter appears to be on the scuttle - passenger side.

If you are replacing the filter - be very, very careful when reassembling because if the seals aren\'t fitted correctly (which apparently is a real pig) water can find it\'s way in and leave the passenger side sodden.

This happened to me when my VW main dealer obviously gave the job to the work experience person.
