Canada - \'Chevrolet Cavalier\' - jmc
My daughter has emigrated to Winnipeg and has the use of a \"Chevrolet Cavalier\" which she might be able to purchase. Does anyone have any knowledge of this model?
In the UK she ran a KA which she was happy with but in Canada small cars are frowned on. Any suggestions?! She basically has the proceeds of the KA - £4000.

Yes, the Chev Cavalier is of similar dimensions to the UK Cavalier/Vectra class car - but its a different car, if you understand what I mean. Its FWD and mostly automatic. There is a sporty model called the Z24. They are not terribly well regarded reliability-wise in the US and Canada though. She might be better off with a Japanese or Korean car. The Hyundai's are popular (eg Sonata) and IIRC come with 5-year warranty in Canada (and also UK now I think). They also have a good heater (Winnipeg is COLD in winter). £4000 should buy quite a recent model with warranty, they are cheaper there than in the UK.
