rover 827 dilemma - trevor
got 1987 rover 827i honda V6 drinking water overheating after 5 mins misfiring on no1 cyl when hot and white smoke from exhaust . Head gasket blown I hear you say - but someone said the alloy blocks corrode away at liner seals (expensive) so the dilemma is could it be the gasket or the block? should I take the head off or just scap the car while it can still be driven to the yard. Help?

Search a bit further down, as someone has had the same problem. If memory serves me correctly, the prognosis was not good. As it's a Honda engine, I would have thought better of it.
