Vauxhall Astra H - Heater/ blower has given up. - mkjk06

The blower fan on my astra previously only worked on setting 4 but has recently given up altogether. reading up about it ive changed the resistor. This worked for a few seconds then packed up once again. Any ideas as to why?

Perhaps the blower motor is in trouble.?Check the connector to it first.

Hi, we had this problem. Obviously as suggested above check there is voltage to the motor but on ours the motor was stiff to turn.It would start up with a bit of help but too stiff to start on its own. A used replacement was fitted and problem solved.
