Can someone throw some light on the following problem I have been having with my 5008.

The vehicle has been to the garage a few times since 2014 and at last the problem was sorted. It was the timing chain tensioner, although a new timing chain was not fitted but was adjusted so that there is no more wirling noises at 1800 - 2300 rpm.

Having picked up the car I found that it sounds like a diesel engine when ticking over... Any ideas as to why this is occuring?
